Recognizing the rapidly growing problem of unsolicited commercial email, I-3 developed and launched Katharion in 2003 with the idea of leveraging two elements: first, the company’s experience with Internet messaging, hosting, and application development; and second, the growth of open-source software and the many volunteer efforts already underway worldwide to curtail junk mail and viruses.
Building on top of these efforts, Katharion has invested thousands of additional hours in order to provide a comprehensive, best-of-breed managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution for businesses and Internet service providers.
